Parallel Threads

There are more Rass stories to explore than we can do conveniently on Mondays. Some don't need all the players, some might not involve rollicking adventure. Doesn't mean they aren't worth exploring in some venue.

Flashbacks, side trips, casual conversations on guard duty, privately working dangerous enchantments on the best aspected day, special sacrifices, all are out there waiting for the heroes.

I'm curious if you all feel like you could keep up with running that sort of thing on this site. The only time scale is the need to place them in the timeline of the Monday game and to resolve them before those threads weave back into the main story.

A few things waiting:

•Jerrod requests seed money and free time
•Neighborhood watch organization
•Log catchers
•We need some money
•New Corral
•Aren't I supposed to be the predestined King of the Zebra Tribe?

So let's go

What sort of thread does Speth want to pull on?

One of these, or something else?

Know 2 for sure

I've already joined in the Jerrod wealth finding story. A new corral would be ideal at the Manor. I think this could actually be the basis for "aint I supposed to be Khan yet" which personally I would like to make some rolls for on the table because it would be interesting drama wise. With the Rass becoming (having become?) the power in the old City, something to rival the Zebra fort and eventually supplant it, would be a great start to that. Ok, am I right in assuming the zebra fort is old city?

Zebra Fort

Yes, it is in the Old city--but on the other side of the river, near one of the quarries. They control the Manside Bridge, also called the Zebra Bridge.

Speth is happy to work on organizing the patrols and enhancing the reputation of her little chapel. Both of these are being followed in other threads.

I'm In Too

Will wants to be involved in the neighborhood watch by volunteering members of the "Healing Will" war band. With their ability to "recognise traitor" (17) they can add value to any patrol looking for threats and spies. With an extra attack of "frightening bite" (5W) they have a surprising advantage over common threats (bandit, spy, etc.). Will suggests that for security, these patrols should be randomly timed, so that anyone trying to make note of a pattern will not be able to use it against the Rass.

There is the matter of constructing a Hippogriff saddle according to the specifications in the records retreived from the Pavis Temple statue. This might be completed by the time our heros return from the Prax/Waste mission.
