Would this help?

Since there is no single leader of the Nomads, the next best/worst thing is "Cho Cho Ha Smells Broos" because many tribespeople think that their biggest spirit, Waha, is represented by Jaldon now and he (Cho Cho Ha) is the big Jaldonite. Oasis seeding for "Sandy Foot" will be less tricky with CCH's cooperation. One thing that might make him cooperative is mutual advantage. Another is to overcome his "Worshipper of Jaldon" with "Devotee of Pavis". What else might be used as leverage?
As far as finding all oasis places, Rasa's "See the Scene" headband might be useful. Divining rods? Maps? Following beast trails? Nomad guides? "Big Nose Betty Smells Water"?
Riding a Hippogriff to the farthest oasis and working back to the city is a faster way than trekking across Prax and the Waste. Where is the White Bull when you need him?

Headband?

Rasa's what?

Oh, and Whitebull is in the Wastes... but you owe him a favor, don't you? Not the other way around.

Debt in Glorantha

White Bull's check is in the mail. Right behind the Priests of Pavis', and the Leafy fiancees'.

Beginning of a New Age

Very funny. Actually the White Bull might appreciate both some Spring and some oasis seeding almost as much as Sandy Foot and Will I Am.
Now that the heros are trekking through the Waste let's keep their eyes, ears and noses open for oasis signs.
Who has ideas for meeting the White Bull in his camp during the next game (6/20)?

So that did not work out so well and the heros never saw a real oasis. Back burner...

Trees/Oases/White Bull

Most praxians are superstitiously afraid of trees. Tree spirits of the wastes are ghosts.

You always travel from oasis to oasis in the Wastes. To do otherwise requires extreme skill, secret knowledge, or a willingness to kill mounts and possibly, yourselves.

White Bull *might* appreciate your work, but to convince him to do more than not get in the way is a hard task.

Update

I was under the impression that the heros never found an actual oasis during the entire trek to White Bull's camp and back. Oshun dug up some ground water and Thunderbird dropped a snake, but other than that they almost died from dehydration. If there was a real oasis anywhere, Rasa and Will would (should) have noticed, mapped it and planted some seeds from Sandy Foot's collection.

Exactly

Well, sort of.

Some oases are minor, temporary, unnamed. You found some of those early on. But your travel was less than easy or successfully done, therefore requiring those emergency methods.

The White Bull stays off the popular routes.

Found and Lost

Please consider those "minor, temporary, unnamed" oases to be mapped for future use. Will must get some claification from Sandy Foot about past vs present (not to mention future) oases the next time he visits The Garden.

*TEMPORARY*

Temporary oases are just that. Unlikely to be there next time. Mapping them is of little use.

Timing is everything

So temporary oases can't sustain plants all year, but some desert plants survive dormant through a dry spell and thrive when there is water. Will's bag of seeds from Sandy Foot may yield clues about the type(s) of seeds to be sown. Are any of them recognizable as seeds from desert plants?

As for finding all the Oases in Prax, a find Oasis skill is perfect, but what rating for Praxian Survival gives a character a chance of finding all the oasis? (Of course avoiding known threats plus overcoming adversity is the way to survive in order to find all the oases.)
