A River Runs Through It
The heros have been below the surface several times. There is a river of blood and a river of tears. There is the Zola Fel River that bisects the city and obviously water below. The bag of dried mushrooms is a clue. There could very likely be a Dark Earth Realm connection. Speth and Will both know a few things plus there are relationships with Tikarne plus Jerendeta Gor and Maran Gor that can help Deep Root Willow's quest.

Myths
The heros sought support from Zola Fel's cult for Murthdrya's blessings. Initially their contact, Dedras, thought that the waters below are not as esoteric (otherworldly) as Cam's vision reveals. However, Zola Fel could benefit from both the blessings quest plus the purification process and participate.
Now that the heros obtained Murthdrya's blessings and the cult of Zola Fel benefitted also, there is an even better working relationship between those two groups. When Kirk returns to the game (or someone else plays Cam), let's get as much support from the city as we can in order to move forward on this quest.
After Sacred time, the puzzle canal has changed. With a sturdy Zola Fel boat and captain, the heros can map it and provide one to the Zola Fel Temple plus sell copies at the Rass Adventurer's Society. This is something the heros can do after repairing the Central Bridge and establishing good bridge security.
