Questions about Speth's revving up

I was thinking about the nature of the evil little bag we anticipate having to face in the temple and I have some questions about Speths preparation ritual and it's effects.

The little bag is magical in nature..god magic I believe, correct?

Does Speth know this, or was it at least explained to her that this probably is not going to be a purely physical contest?

Speth used close combat as her primary skill, will this work against purely magical entities, or do the magical augments overcome that limitation?

Basically if Speth was aware that this foe is most likely going to be purely magically wouldn't she make sure to choose a primary skill that would be effective against such a foe?

I don't mind making a colossal mistake in my preplanning, as long as it involves a mistake in Speth's understanding of the situation and not Chris's mis-understanding of the game mechanics.

According to Will.

You may assume this discussion occurred.

No, they do not. It would force a change of skill if the opposing force was not physical. And to be clear--if you work the Death Paint Ritual to use some 4th 5th 6th feat to augment your axe combat, they are not available for your "scream away magic" attempt for example.

I would think so. But this is the trick to the situation--if you pick right, you win big. If you pick wrong, you got trouble. You are welcome to spread your 3 extra bonuses around other skills, to present a more rounded problem for whatever it is.

Now Speth understands that she does not know exactly what she's preparing for. So what will she do?
