Rules: Augments

I'm going to use the Teshnos run as an experiment in changing the way I run augments, unless everyone thinks it is a bad idea.

EACH augment to another character will apply directly, not totaled up then used as a combined augment the way we currently do.

BUT you have to make a clear case for how EACH augment will aid the other person. And some augments will be a flat -5 if they aren't touch, and others won't be possible without touch.

So for example, If Garusharp wants to use archery to augment Khalasa's attempt to escape the constables, fine. But if Garusharp wants to use Weaving Encirclement to augment too, then the question becomes "How does Weaving Encirclement help Khalasa in this situation?

Also, in many cases, you will have to choose which augment you will actively do in a round. If you cast magic on someone, that's cool, it lasts for the contest. But if Khalasa tries Frightning Oration to distract temple guards while Jaskaran sneaks by, Khalasa can't also augment with some other active skill.

You'll also need to "stack" augments through time, with one ability needing one round to do one augment.

Does this make sense?

augments

The idea you propose makes sense to me. I was worried that if I augmented with seperate skills then the receiver would become "super powerful" but what you described and the limitations make it more realistic...or maybe I am a teachers' pet
