My name is Smart-Ass Kimo, what you haven’t heard of me? Let me tell you why you won’t forget me after I am done…
Let us start with the fact that I am the best navigator in all of Haragala, not to mention I am a better opener then my father’s father! If you don’t believe me then just ask Captain Kreen, he is the captain of Talac’s Baleful Eye. I have opened the seas for him on more then a dozen occasions, though it is easy when you have such a fine ship as the Talac. She is long and graceful with a single master that supports a linen sail painted with the great golden eye of the guardian himself. Of course she is a fighting craft with a massive Sunscope and many Arbalests to ward off any boarding action.
I know that the good captain is a fighting man first and foremost, even if people tell you that he is a merchant. To that end he is outfitting the Talac to go hunting…Pirates. I have been with him long enough to know that he is enlisting more sailors then I have ever seen before. He is putting enough supplies on board to stay out until Fire season and more weaponry then any merchant ship I have seen. We are going to come back heroes of Haragala. So take it from an old salt, you want to be in on this. With the Sunscopes, Captain “burn em’ down” Kreen and Talac’s own guardian magic we can do nothing but come back rich and famous…oh yeah and don’t forget about having the best navigator and opener in Haragala’s fleet to show the way. Now if the captain would not insist on having that strange Seaborne Child as our good luck charm everything would be perfect…
