A Wedding in the Great Temple of Genert

Getting to the Genert's temple, if it even still exists, is a quest in itself. Once on the Plateau of Statues, finding it is a challenge.

Isn't this the right place?
Did Oshun have a quiet moment with Genert? Was there a game when that character nearly got absorbed into the ancient World which is Genert? As I recall, Oshun barely came back from that experience with his sanity intact. Genert was so vast that He could barely be comprehended.
Aside from flying there on a Hippogriff with Walnut Charmer, maybe a merging of places, like the Rass did at their meeting with the Kaggroka, is a way to cut down on travel time and fascilitate a wedding.
Like MIke said, "Finding it is a challenge".
Who dat?
The thing that Oshun experienced was never identified.
Flying to the Plateau is faster, but still represents a high degree of difficulty.
Long Distance
Unless a means of communing with the Great Temple of Genert can be acheived then this quest will have to wait until an expedition can be mounted. If there is a temple to Genert in the Garden or on Temple Hill then the heros might be able to establish contact through priests for Walnut Charmer.
Now that there is an expedition into the Wastes, does that mean the heros are in the "neighborhood" of Genert's Temple?
No other temples
There are no temples to Genert. He's dead.
Mostly Recovered
Can Genert can be resurrected or partly revived? He might not be the same (just like the Patriach of the Rass doesn't seem to be the same as he was), but if we can just win the God's War then everything will be ok again.
Contradiction
Just to clarify: Above, I have explicitly contradicted some NPCs.
The resurrection of Genert is a dream of well, all the peoples of Genertela. But he is dead dead dead.
That's What I Get For Thinking
There's always Mike's "favorite" plot device: Time Travel...
That being joked about, let's figure this out.
1) Resurrection - If it could have been done - it would have been done. However, the name of Genert is far from forgotten. Maybe with the help of all humans, dwarves, elves and trolls plus magical creatures it would be worth trying, since "the resurrection of Genert is a dream of well, all the peoples of Genertela".
2) Creation - Make a new Genert with Mostal's help and all the above-mentioned peoples of Genertela.
3) Loophole - Build a temple to Genert, making sure to call it that plus write the name in many languages above the entrance and book weddings there, including Walnut Charmer's. Think of the catering and music gigs we could make commissions on, not to mention conventions and receptions of all kinds. (Just pay no attention to the man behind the curtain.)
4) The real issue is that Hounds of Hell tore Genert apart in the God's War. Our heros do not want to get mixed up in that at this time because it is my understanding that it goes on forever. So, what else can we do. Hero quest to a time when Genert exists?
Your points
Replies to your points:
1: First, there's this.
Then, there's the possibility that the time was not right. Many cultures are known to be working long term on great projects. Some things are so hard that they require tremendous planning, not to mention the right people.
Also, the stakes for this are REALLY HUGE. You're talking about resurrecting the Land Spirit of Genertela. His death was responsible for Genert's Garden becoming the Wastes. His powers were continental; his loss was literally devastating; his return would be world-changing.
2. This is obscene, heretical, blasphemous godlearnerism. Previous examples of such activity broke the Great Compromise and nearly destroyed the world. It did destroy the God Learners. That said, go for it. Feel free.
3. Also godlearnerism. Or Eurmali bullshit.
4. You have misremembered. Correct myths require (relatively easy) rolls.
It is possible to quest to a time when Genert existed. He existed in the Green Age, the Golden Age, the Silver Age and the earliest parts of the Lesser Darkness. His death marks the transition from the the Lesser to the Great. But to what end? Also, recall Genert is a spirit, not a god.
It's Complicated
Thanks for the correction. We can start to work with Myths. Green Age, Golden Age, Silver Age it's all good (especially Green Age). Perhaps Genert's Temple exists there and we just need to put down a deposit...
Code Green for Danger!
To use a terribly modern analogy: even though you are a nuclear engineer, it is not wise to go into the core of a nuclear reactor just to light your cigarette.
Myths
Can Will's marriage to Walnut Charmer be a wedding ritual in the Green Age thus minimizing any negative impact to the Green Age?
